President Richard Nixon was the 37th president of the United States representing the Republican party elected in1968. He was born in California to a mother who was a Quaker and a father who was a grocer. Nixon created the Environmental protection program (EPA) for anti-pollution legislation, pesticide control, and a clean water initiative. Nixon supported scientific research to help the environment. Nixon also played a big role in the 26th which give the right for you to vote at the age of 18. President Nixon was an overall good President until his re-election in 1972.
